Double Up Food Bucks

Stretch your Food Dollars

Helping more families buy fresh, healthy food from local farmers is a simple yet powerful idea. Double Up Food Bucks (DUFB) matches the value of SNAP (formerly known as food stamps) when spent on locally grown fruits and vegetables. What began in five Detroit farmers markets in 2009 grew into the first statewide healthy food incentive program and is now a national model for SNAP incentives. Double Up Food Bucks is a win-win-win, helping local farmers, local families, and local communities.

Get more fruits and vegetables when you spend your SNAP Card dollars at participating Utah farmers markets. It’s easy with Double Up Food Bucks! For example, if you spend $30 from your Card at a participating farmers market, they match you another $30 to buy fresh fruits and veggies. SNAP-authorized farmers markets and farm stands in Utah will participate in the 2020 Utah Double Up Food Bucks season, running at all markets June 1st – October 31st. DUFB is a program of the Utah Department of Health (UDOH) with support from Utahns Against Hunger (UAH) and Urban Food Connections of Utah (UFCU) as part of the Utah Produce Incentive Collaborative (UPIC).
