Information for Ranchers/Animal Product Vendors

Meat

The vendor must raise the animals to be considered in this category. DFM looks for natural, grass-fed, or organic meat products. Retail sales of meat fit the mixed product category and require a Department of Agriculture certificate before selling at the Market.

Honey

Honey vendors must be involved in all aspects of beekeeping. Bottled honey requires a Department of Agriculture certificate before it may be sold at the Market.

Eggs

Eggs can be sold at the Market without a Department of Agriculture certificate. However, temperatures must be controlled (45 degrees or lower) or product will be removed. The vendor category will be determined based on other products sold at the booth.

Dairy

The vendor must raise the animals that produce the milk used for their dairy products to be considered in this category. Dairy requires a Department of Agriculture certificate before it may be sold at the Market.
